  • I have been exhibiting my art professionally in solo and group shows in the UK and Europe, since 2003. I gained my B.A Hons degree in Fine Art, specialising in oil painting at Cheltenham, now the University of Gloucestershire.

Since then, I have discovered my love of working with charcoal and enjoy using a variety of mediums and techniques to create my artworks, often combining more than one in a piece.

Being versatile is a great benefit in my artistic practise and presents many opportunities to create a diverse range of artworks and Commission possibilities.

I have been commissioned for more than twenty years and specialise in portraits, I’m particularly fond of Dogs! However, I can be commissioned for all pets and people portraits and landscapes, homes and gardens, floral and abstract works.

I grew up in the South of England and have also lived near Lisbon in Portugal, for ten years. Whilst in Portugal, I began specialising in portraits of dogs and in 2011, I founded the network "Create Portugal” for artists living and working in Portugal. Through running Create Portugal, I managed a group of artists of various nationalities, organizing and curating our exhibitions and events for the network’s members in Lisbon and surrounding areas of Portugal.

I regularly take part in regional events for artists, including Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire ArtWeeks, Thame Art crawl, Oxfordshire Art Society, Watlington artsHUB amongst others. In Oxfordshire, I also ran for several years, my weekly art class for adults “Take Five Art Group” where various mediums and techniques were explored.

I could not imagine my life without art or being creative and I’m passionate about art and creative activities as a therapeutic aid for all people. I have worked for the Headway Charity, giving therapeutic art workshops for people with acquired brain injury and as an artist in residence on a few occasions, for Horatio’s Charity, providing a creative workshop for those recovering from spinal injury at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. I would like to continue working in this area and actively seek new opportunities.
